Retinal Surgery

 

Mr Saad is an experienced retinal surgeon. He had his higher retinal training in Bristol Eye Hospital. Since 2017, He co leads the vitreoretinal surgery unit in James Cook University hospital. He has done several thousands of vitreoretinal surgeries with high success rates. Since He joined James Cook Hospital, he has introduced new methods in aphakia management and sub macular haemorrhage. He is the principal investigator in a UK multicentre trial dealing with submacular bleeding due to age related macular degeneration. He has also been a principal investigator in 2 trials focused in diabetic retinopathy ( DIAMONDS and EMERALD trials)
